Easter Cannabutter Chocolate Truffles (8 Servings)

80mg THC/10mg per serving

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate (around 70% cocoa)

  • 100ml heavy cream

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 teaspoons Big Pete's cannabutter

  • Cocoa powder, crushed nuts, or edible glitter for coating

  • Optional: a few drops of vanilla extract, orange, or peppermint extract for flavoring

Instructions:

  1. Chop Chocolate: Finely chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.

  2. Heat Cream: In a saucepan, gently heat the heavy cream until it starts to simmer. Do not let it boil.

  3. Melt Chocolate: Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for about a minute, then stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

  4. Add Butter and Cannabutter: To the chocolate mixture, add the unsalted butter, cannabutter, and any optional extracts. Stir everything together until smooth and well combined.

  5. Chill: Cover the mixture and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours, or until it's firm enough to shape.

  6. Shape Truffles: Use a teaspoon or melon baller to scoop out the mixture, rolling it into balls with your hands. If the mixture softens too much during handling, chill it again until it's easier to work with.

  7. Coat Truffles: Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, crushed nuts, or edible glitter. Choose your coatings based on your Easter theme or personal preference.

  8. Final Chill: Arrange the coated truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate until they're firm.

  9. Serve: Once firm, the truffles are ready to be served. They can be placed in mini cupcake liners for a festive look.

  10. Storage: If not serving immediately, store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Note:

Each truffle is intended to be a single serving, containing 10mg of THC. It's crucial to mix the cannabutter evenly throughout the chocolate mixture to ensure consistent dosing in each truffle. Always inform your guests about the THC content to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
